Hatch ("we," "our," and/or "us") values the privacy of individuals who use our website and related services (collectively, our "Services"). Important Intellectual Property Notice The intellectual property of all projects, applications, and source code uploaded to Hatch is solely and uniquely the possession of the author who uploaded it. Hatch acts solely as a distribution platform (for now) and claims no ownership over the creations you share with the community. You retain full ownership, copyrights, and patent rights to your work.

A. Information You Provide to Us.
Registration and Profile Information. When you register for an account using GitHub or Google Auth, we receive information from those social media services such as your name, email address, and profile photo, in accordance with your privacy settings on those social media services. We also collect the bio and links you provide in your profile.
Communications. When you communicate with us, we may receive additional information about you. If you apply for contact via the platform (as an investor, partner, hire, or fan), your request and any notes attached are stored to facilitate the connection.
B. Information We Collect Automatically When You Use Our Services.
Device Information. We receive information about the device and software you use to access our Services, including internet protocol (IP) address, web browser type, operating system version, and device type.
Usage Information. To help us understand and analyze how you use our Services and to help us improve them, we automatically receive information about your interactions with our Services, like the apps you view, your likes, saves, comments, and the dates and times of your visits.
C. Information We Receive from Third Parties.
If you choose to link our Services to a third-party account (like GitHub or Google), we receive information about you, including your profile information and photo.

We use the information we collect:

Other Users and Individuals. Our Services are a community gallery. Your profile, including your handle, display name, profile picture, bio, links, published apps, comments, likes, and saves will be viewable and searchable by other users and online search engines. The contact requests and private messages you send are only visible to the recipient.
Agents and MCP Servers. Information on the platform, including public apps and profiles, is accessible via our Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, making Hatch agent-friendly. Agents accessing this data act on behalf of the users employing them and are subject to the same public visibility constraints.
Your Rights and Choices
You may request access to the information we maintain about you, update and correct inaccuracies in your information, or delete your account at any time through your profile settings. Upon account deletion, your profile, apps, and comments will be permanently removed.
Security
We use a variety of technical, organizational, and physical safeguards designed to safeguard the information we maintain. Our database relies on strict Row-Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure that private data, such as unread messages or pending contact requests, remain accessible only to the authorized participants.
